Drawing

Me
Day 34 – February 3, 2019
Charcoal and ink on 225 gr. acrylic paper. This drawing is not exactly what I hoped it would be, but I still want to post it. Simply because this is me (although the face doesn’t look like mine). Standing half behind a dark wall, one leg in dusk. Never naked in bright light. You know…

The Chicken Waltz
Day 19 – January 19, 2019
I have a confession to make. Everytime I take a shower and wash my hair, I lose some. Just like everybody. But my hair is black and long, so it always looks like a lot. Because I don’t want to flush the hair away with the water, I collect it during shampooing and stick it to te bathroom wall (see picture). Yeah, I know, it sounds a bit weird, but he, that’s me.

This time I was looking at it and saw a dancing chicken, so I decided to take a picture of it and try to draw it. And to be honest, I liked it. After drawing, I used my Tombows to give it a little bit more ‘life’. I’m satisfied and will do this more often!

Day 5 – January 5, 2019
Series of four drawings. The first three are videostills of Trump’s ‘conversation’ about women. The last drawing is Trump saying the world’s most famous mysogynistic words: ‘Grab ‘m by the Pussy’. My reply: ‘Kick ‘m in the Balls!’
Non-dominant hand drawing, pen.

Nondominant hand with pen. The text is written with my dominant hand, but I held the pen at the end, so I didn’t have 100% control over it. 15×21 cm.

Tombow Pencils, Indian ink, red ink and oil pastels on watercolor paper, 15×21 cm, 2018
I tried my new Tombow dual pencils. I really have to practice this more often. I used an artwork from Deb Weiers as an example because I like her style so much! Finally it doesn’t look anything like the beautiful original, but he, I was only trying my pencils!
